As a manager in a matrixed organization, how can I keep track of all the work my team is doing across multiple projects?
You can use Member Groups. Member Groups allow you to create a list of members and aggregate their activities across multiple projects. Once compiled, you can do the following:
- Use the Member Group Dashboard report to view a set of metrics (burndown, current load, and work effort over time) that show the collective contribution of the group, and displays member-level work history reporting (work history is not available if effort is not being tracked).
- In other reports, use the Member Groups filter to view just the activities of a specific group.
Member Groups can be accessed and managed from the Administration menu and can be used by anyone with access to the projects the members are working on.
