Issue

Gerrit Initialization failed while running TeamForge provision. The following error occurs in the runtime.log

ERROR GerritKiller - Unable to verify TeamForge SOAP connection:'TeamForge SOAP connection failed.'.
Terminating.
ERROR: Init step has failed.]
2020-11-10 01:05:03,829 ERROR Caught exception while trying to start service 'gerrit': Gerrit /usr/
sbin/ctf-git-integration-ng-setup.sh has failed with error code 15.

Solution

From the runtime.log, we could see the error below:

ERROR GerritKiller - Unable to verify TeamForge SOAP connection:'TeamForge SOAP connection failed.'.
Terminating.

The error states that the Gerrit initialization failed because it is unable to verify the TeamForge SOAP connection. This issue would happen if there is any license issue in TeamForge. Please login to the TeamForge UI and check if it displays any license error after logging in. If yes, then it is caused by a license issue.

This license error would occur if the number of registered users exceeds the maximum allowed license. Applying the appropriate license key for the TeamForge site will fix the Gerrit initialization issue.

Refer to Supply your TeamForge license key from TeamForge UI for more information.
